Numbani was as lively and loud as always today. Cars hovering through the streets, humans and omnics walking through the busy shopping streets, airplanes coming in and leaving at the airport; everywhere Orisa went were people, and everywhere where there were people, there was need for protection. Therefore, Orisa spent her whole day and night patrolling these streets. This used to be the job of the OR15 units Orisa used to be part of, but those hadn't been walking the streets ever since most of them got destroyed during Doomfist's attach on the city. There were rumors about how the city of Numbani had given more money to repair and enhance these robots, but while that was going on, Orisa would be the only robot protecting the city. Some people might wonder whether or not this would be too much for a person to handle, but Orisa wasn't a person, and anxiety wasn't part of her programming.
The last few weeks Orisa had become kind of a celebrity in Numbani. Pretty much anyone in the city had seen or heard about the car-sized robot protecting the streets. Especially on social media, Orisa had gained quite a lot of popularity. Due to Orisa's willingness to participate in selfies, the tag #Orisa and #RobotMom had gone viral on Twitter and Instagram in her first week. Even nowadays, Orisa was still stopped from time to time by tourist and Numbanians alike for a quick photoshoot. Two times this had even lead to accidents, one in which Orisa crushed the phone when she was asked to hold it, and one in which Orisa accidentally kicked down a traffic light when asked to step back to fit in the picture.
When Orisa had finally finished another selfie shoot with a small group of Numbanian girls, she heard someone call her name. It wasn't a familiar voice, and it definitely didn't sound like your average nervous tourist or excited teen. The big robot turned around, not knowing who she'd see. "Yes?"
