He loved working, a workaholic they said. But there was just something so satisfying about a job well done. He got to keep the peace in this beautiful city, try to make a difference, and he succeeded in many aspects. He wasn't a front line agent, but anytime there was trouble his team would always call on him for support, that was his duty and he was proud to serve the city of Numbani to keep it's citizens, both human and Omnic, safe from harm.
Of course, the free donuts didn't hurt either.
Numbani was lucky to be one of the cities with the cafe branch parked in a central location, easy to find no matter where you happened to be, and that was where the heavily armored dog was heading right now. Romulus enjoyed walking down the streets of the city, he was offered so many smiles from familiar faces, eager to greet the well-known canine, he didn't mind drawing attention to himself, being the show pony that he sometimes was. His ears were alert and pricked as he listened to the sounds of life humming through the city, his sensitive canine hearing picking up even the most subtle of conversation, this was what made it worthwhile, hearing people and omnics alike living their lives, no chaos, no war, no worries. He and the rest of the peacekeepers did good work here, the state of the city spoke volumes to that.
His mouth stretched in a wide yawn as he came upon the cafe, greeted by the barista, who seemed two steps ahead with a small paper sack ready for him. He was lucky, being a not-so-normal dog meant that he could enjoy things other dogs couldn't, like double shot coffee and chocolate donuts. He jumped to balance his paws on the counter as he took the bag, mumbling a thank you around it before he turned tail to find a seat. He chose one close by the open window, hopping up into it before he started to root through the bag, pulling out a chocolate glazed and beginning to make quick work of it, a odd sight for anyone not familiar with the city.
