Jeffrey 'M13' Forbes

Personality: Jeff isn’t your typical Forbes. He is kind, compassionate, philanthropic, and sensitive. He has no interest in business and would rather spend his time travelling with his friends. He figures his family has way too much money than they need and must be investing in causes that better the lives of the less fortunate. Obviously, no one in his family would ever hear of such blasphemy. So, often Jeff pretends like he is spending lavishly on himself and siphons it to charitable trusts anonymously.

One shouldn’t mistake Jeff’s friendly nature and assume he considers them a friend. He learnt to pick his friends carefully very early in his childhood. However, if he does consider you his friend, he will make it very obvious. Feeling like a complete stranger among his kin, his considers his few close friends his true family. They are his first priority and he would practically do anything for them.

Having been raised by an Omnic maid of simple loving personality, Jeff lacks the ability to understand hidden emotions and meanings behind human speech. He often mistakes sarcasm with genuineness and figurative context with literal. It took his friends several years to guide him through the subtlety of human communication, but he is still not there yet.

Sometimes, his lawfulness and compassion makes him very short-sighted and stubborn. In his urgency to do the right thing in the present might make him blind to the future consequences and miss the bigger picture. And when he witnesses any negative consequences because of his actions, he is often quick to drown in guilt and depression. Here again, his friends come to his rescue and help him make the right decisions or cope with the consequences.

It is not easy to see Jeff as an individual without his friendship. While he holds his friends together and keeps them close-knit, they, in turn, make him the man he is.

Back Story: The Forbes. Usually, nothing more needs to be said than that the person's second name is Forbes. They are known for their brutal, ruthless, and cut-throat business. While many have questioned the morality of their business models and the legality of their research, they were smart enough to hide all of it from the numerous investigations. They command a formidable influence throughout the entire world in every profitable prospect.

However, Jeff is different; too different for the likes of his family. Despite being the true and only heir to the empire, he wants nothing to do with it. He knew he was too compassionate and lawful for that nonsense. His parents sure loved him, but never had the time to express it. And then, when he was ten, they were killed in a plane crash. Was it an accident? Or was it more? No one knows till date. After his parents’ death, Jeff was sent to his uncle, Gregory, in Milan, who was now also the head of the company. His relationship with his uncle wasn’t any different from that he had with his parents. If anything, Gregory was more distant and cold. The only source of love and affection for this young man came from the old Omnic maid at the mansion. Jeff shed more tears when she was decommissioned than he did on his parents’ funeral.

The mansion was too big, and people too few. The solution was simple; he began to make friends. At first, he made many ‘friends’. Quickly, he realized more than half of them called him their friend only because he was rich and famous. It didn’t take him long to prune that list down to the few who liked him for who he was. The list was rather short, but perfect: Emma, Dianne, Zaurack, Zaniah, and Raun. He met the former four on his first school-day in Milan and he spent most of his time at their homes than in his mansion. Fifteen years is a long time and friends who stick together that long tend to treat each other like family; it’s no different here. The latter one, Raun, was a recent addition. Forced by his uncle, Jeff was recently sent to London, attending a short course on business administration at the prestigious Overwatch University. Of course, Jeff never attended the course. Instead, he toured the campus and stumbled upon Raun, who too was skipping a ‘boring and useless’ class. The two were quick to bond and Jeff spent the rest of the course time sight-seeing with Raun as his guide. Jeff had to get back to Milan, but he always kept in touch with Raun over mail since then.

Jeff lived a carefree life. He didn’t care about the company and didn’t think too much ahead of the present. Often, Gregory would call him up and ask him to get his shit together. But, he never gave it much thought. He was under the impression that Greg will lead the company forever and he can continue the way he did. That bubble was popped much sooner than he expected. Gregory was found dead in the mansion and had named Jeff the successor. Shock. Confusion. Cluelessness. And a million other emotions struck Jeff and he did what he always did in such circumstances; he called up all his friends.

With Gregory dead, numerous corporations are attempting to jump on this opportunity to take over the company. Now, it is up to Jeff and his friends to decide whom to trust and what to do to keep it running.

Passive: Walk On - M13’s feet modules are equipped with traction nano-gel, enabling it to walk on any surface without losing grip.

Weapon(s): Claw

Slash (Primary Fire): Melee attack which activates bleed and does damage overtime. 

Me-before-you (Secondary Fire): Activates magnetech which pulls all non-friendly projectiles in a certain radius, towards the the M13 (lasts for a few seconds) 

Electrocute (First Ability): Extends his claw hand to hold a target, can be activated again to electrocute an enemy, or to pull back an ally. 

Seismic pulse (Second ability): Slams his fist into a surface which releases three consecutive concentric spherical seismic pulses. Each pulse does a certain amount of damage and pushes enemies away, does more damage and pushes further away the closer you are.

Event Horizon (ultimate): Throws the large magnetech-disk to a target location, which pulls projectiles towards itself in a certain radius for a certain duration.
