Real Name: Raito Wazatori
Nickname: Jetwing
Age: 21
Nationality: Japanese
Occupation: Vigilante
Base of Operations: None at the moment
Affiliation: None
Voice: Johnny Yong Bosch
Personality: Formerly a happy child seeking to fulfill his dreams, Raito has since become cold toward others, unmoved by and uninterested in what they do or think of him, choosing instead to keep to himself. He selfishly seeks to destroy what has wronged him and is very cocky and confident in his abilities to crush those weaker than him, ignorantly believing himself to be above everyone else and caring little about things such as teamwork and friendship. He perceives himself to be always right and everything else in the world to be wrong. Raito's innocent and altruistic nature has been buried away by trauma and emotions that he refuses to let go of, blinded by his anger and hate that has since consumed him. Whether or not he gets better is unknown, only time will tell...
Back Story: Raito Wazatori has been shaped by his past into an individual of hatred and anger. He comes from generations of hardened warriors and samurai, forever cursed by tragedy, sadness, and suffering. Hardened and self-centered, Raito's singular objective is clear: to purge the world of all wrongs and to destroy all that is flawed.
Raito was very different when he used a be a child, and idolized his father and formerly Overwatch agent Jetwing, who worked hard to get to where he was. He admired the heroes who dedicated their lives to protect and serve humanity to pave a bright future for generations to come. Raito was very idealistic and optimistic of his future, vowing that one day he would be just like dad in being part of Overwatch and saving the world like superheroes. A shame that he would never see his hopes fulfilled, as he was only in his early teens when Overwatch was disbanded with his wishes and dreams shattering along with it.
Ever since Overwatch's collapse, Raito's family faced ridicule, harassment, and discrimination on a day-by-day basis due to his father's former service to them. Raito could remember the words many used to insult his father: criminal, terrorist, coward, dog, gloryhound. The reputation and respect that his father worked so hard to obtain faded away when the people stopped remembering Overwatch as a peacekeeping organization and more so as a terrorist group. Meanwhile, Raito himself faced conflict in school when he was called daddy's boy and a terrorist worshipper and was singled out from his peers just because he was the son of a former Overwatch agent. Raito's cheerful personality gradually morphed into a twisted hateful shadow of his former self and he enlisted in the JSDF in hopes of bringing back some honor to the family name. It wasn't until when his father was killed attempting to thwart an Talon assassination attempt on the Japanese minister did the teasing and ridicule stop, though, by then it was already too late. Raito was the only one who witnessed his father getting shot in the head by a strange hooded man wearing a skull for a mask.
Raito's pent-up frustration over the years reached his boiling point when he couldn't get explanation for his father's death and he took matters into his own hands in the name of both justice and revenge. A string of violent murders across the country took place by an individual in white armor, recognized as Jetwing's uniform by both local and international authorities who were quick to tie the identity of the individual to Raito being the most likely suspect. He was waging a personal war against the world for what he went through and he was not going to stop until the world breaks from his fury and falls to its knees begging for mercy as the second Jetwing. His father's death has left him with many questions on the circumstances, on Talon, and on Overwatch itself and he hopes to uncover the truths still shrouded in mystery. Everyone involved is his target, be it good or bad and he will not stop till he gets his answers.
Role: Offense
Weapon(s): Raito is armed with a special heavy-duty Pulse Jetpack that serves as his vehicle of transportation as well as his weapon in battle. The pulse jetpack is mildly huge and sits on his back, with two handlebar grips protruding outward that serves as both the main controls and primary fully-automatic submachine guns for the weapon that deals weak damage over a short amount of time per second. The magazine size is a cool-down operated battery that will overheat when more than 36 rounds are fired in quick succession.
Abilities:
- Defense System (Passive) : Raito's combat suit is equipped with very light shielding that will protect the user from attacks until depleted and will recharge when not taking damage. Would be the equivalent of having 50 shields over his 150 health for a total of 200 HP like most offense heroes.
- Aerial Flight (Movement/Space Bar) : Raito can quickly fly, maneuver, and hover in the air with swift and evasive mobility for a limited amount of time.
- Jet Blaster (Ability 1/Secondary Fire/E) : Raito's secondary firing mode jetpack wings fold down and forward in the same direction Raito is facing, transforming the jetpack's main thrusters into plasma-based autocannons that deal three times the amount of damage normally dealt by Raito's primary firing mode which will consequently overheat the magazine battery, maxing out at 12 shots prior to overheating before cooling down. For obvious reasons, Raito cannot fly when he's using this ability and his movement speed is reduced to compensate for its strong recoil.
- Detach/Equip (Ultimate/Q) : Raito yanks his both handlebar grips, forcefully pulling the parts off his jetpack. The jetpack will then detach itself off Raito's back and onto the ground. Losing the jetpack disables all of his abilities (except passive), but he gains a considerable speed boost due to the loss of the excess burden that belonged to the heavy jetpack. The handlebars still in his hand will ignite itself with electricity and can be used as dual-wielded shock tonfas/batons. Each hit from the weapon deals moderate damage and will stun an enemy for one second upon contact. If needed, Raito can hit a button panel on the handlebar tonfa to re-summon the Pulse jetpack, which will fly back and re-attach itself to him.
Height: 5'8'' (5'10'' when in suit)
Eye Color: Light Blue
Hair Color/Style: Black
Body Type: Wide-shouldered and athletic but somewhat thin.
Clothing Style: Raito has very messy sideswept hair and light-colored eyes with fair skin due to his ancestry and a very strong but lean build, appearing as relatively innocent and friendly which heavily clashes with his contrasting personality. He stands approximately 5'8'' tall with fairly good posture and is rarely seen outside his full-body armor, which covers every inch of his body leaving nothing exposed. The suit itself is white with blue lines strewn across Tron style and is plated up with chest, shoulder, forearm, and shin guards. The helmet is round and finned, with the purple visor designed with a motif resembling a the psi letter from the greek alphabet.
