There were many good things about being isolated the way he was, there was little danger from outside threats, yet the place was easy enough to find for those who mattered, like his father who visited to keep him company and bring him supplies. But being in such a remote and secretive location had its downsides too, because even though Solomon was fairly misanthropic in regards to most humans, he still found himself craving affection, craving the company and attention of someone not his father. He'd never seen himself as the type to want that sort of thing, but the longer he stayed here wasting away alone, the more he wanted someone here who might hold him through the nights, or even kiss him.
But it felt impossible, remote and in the middle of nowhere as he was, that he would ever find someone like that, people didn't like staying in one place these days, no one would leave that behind for someone like him.
He groaned with a heavy sigh as he pushed himself away from the console of the computer he was working at, rubbing at his tired eyes, his latest project had been a working security system, the original intent was to have turrets armed and ready, but he decided to scrap such an idea for the risk of injury to non-threats that it posed. To many nightmares of his father showing up only to be shot to pulp. He shuddered at the thought, and instead opted for some sort of motion detector that would set off an alert if anyone came near, it would keep him from having to watch the security cameras constantly.
Solomon let out a long yawn, suddenly realizing that he couldn't remember the last time he'd slept or eaten, a day? Two days? Three? He often lost track of such things, to caught up to even notice that he was feeling fault from hunger and exhaustion until he damn near fainted from it.
He sighed as he rolled down the series of ramps to the ground floor, into the small kitchen space to begin putting together a sandwich.
