It was so strange being back among these people, people that for many years now had seemed like ghosts of his past. He'd lost touch with many of them after Overwatch fell and he took up wandering, even more so during his stay in Nepal, it was good to be back though, aside from the awkward moments shared between Hanzo and himself, he was already feeling at home with these people once more, and really it had only been a day at most.
Wherever Hanzo was now, it wasn't directly on base, so he felt more at ease roaming, he hadn't met everyone that was stationed here yet, though he'd heard plenty of the names about the base, he was especially eager to hear the names of some of the old team hanging around here, Jack, Ana, McCree, all people he'd formed rather close friendships with during his time with the previous Overwatch, it felt nice to be back here, it felt like coming home after a long vacation, even if the venue was totally new to him.
Genji never saw reason to mask himself on base, it had been that way before and nothing really changed, he felt comfort and safety among his peers, there was no need to hide his face around them, and it was easier to convey things anyway when they could see his expressions, sometimes voice alone just didn't do enough. Clothing was another thing he'd picked up mingling among civilians, it seemed to make both them and himself feel more at ease, and drew much less attention than an glowing cyborg ninja seemed to. He chuckled to himself, though he did catch a lot of attention from enthralled children, a reminder that not everyone was of the opinion of his brother.
He hadn't gotten his bearings in the large, underground base yet, so navigating was still an adventure all it's own, and at this point he was mostly just wandering, hoping to potentially run into a friendly face.
