Jamison was fairly new, not to Vishkar, he'd been with them since he was fifteen, being groomed and molded into the perfect little employee, without a trace of that pesky free-thought that so often got people into trouble. Was he proud to belong to such a group? Debateable, but they had taken a dirty, crippled child of the Outback's downfall and turned him into something that they called better, they'd provided him with fitted prosthetics and given him a place safe from radiation and death, surely that was worth giving up his personality and self, right?
Sometimes he thought so, other times he didn't. This was his first time being invited to one of the company's larger events, and already the citizens of Rio were rallying against them. Was order and control really so bad? He'd lived in a world of chaos for his entire childhood, a world where everything hurt, even the rain against your skin, order seemed like heaven when compared to that.
He'd wandered probably a bit too far from the rally in his wondering, a bit spacy, which was dangerous in a situation so easily made hostile.
"Hey! Vishkar dog!" He jumped out of his daydreaming when he heard the gruff voices down the other end of the alley, a group of men armed with bats and crowbars, sure he outmatched them all in height, but they were burly and he was not. His eyes filled with fear as he took off running the opposite direction, causing them to pursue like a pack of dogs on a rabbit's trail.
Eventually though, he ran out of holes to crawl through and came to a dead end, pressing himself to the wall as the men easily caught up to him. All he could do was sink to the ground and hold his arms over his head as they advanced on him.
