Real Name:
Jessica Lockwood
Nickname:
Jess, Jessie
Age:
27
Nationality:
American
Occupation:
Journalist
Base of Operations:
Seattle, Washington - heading to Gary for at least the time being
Voice:
Upbeat, friendly.
Personality:
Persistent in getting what she wants, driven in her goals and causes. Generally prefers to look for the positive or good in a situation, or focus on how a situation can be improved. She is not so naive to think all people are always inherently good, but she doesn't feel that there are such things as entirely hopeless situations as long as good people are willing to do something. She has a bit of a dark sense of humor at times, but is generally an upbeat, friendly person. She tends to being brutally honest however, and this is a trait not everyone is fond of.
Back Story:
She never really stayed in on place long growing up, shifted around through the foster care system extensively. As a child she was the one that kept to herself more or less, reading books, writing stories. Like many of her generation she was influenced and inspired by Overwatch and wanted to become a hero like they were - she had posters, action figures, the whole bit.
As she grew older she realized she'd never be the soldier or doctor type of hero though, and tried to think what else she could do. She knew she could write, and realized that was how she could do her good, by sharing the truth and the stories that others didn't always see. The fall of Overwatch in her teens, as well as the accusations of corruption and wrong-doings were crushing to her, but not enough to drive her away from still wanting to do her piece of good in the world.
She went to college in California, where she was put in a dorm room with Kathryn Pickford. The two didn't care much for each other at first, but slowly bonded over having to survive a nightmare roommate together and over time became very close friends. They still are, even as Kathryn went off to pursue her goals in film and Jessica started actively pursing the stories she wanted to tell, traveling around the world to find them - stories of refugees, of conflicts, of unfair treatment of humans and omnics alike. When she got a call from Kathryn in which she was told Overwatch was back and trying to rally it's forces Jessica knew there was no way she could stay away, eager to perhaps show how her childhood heroes had been unjustly given a bad name over all this time. Wether they'll actually want her there trying to tell their stories for them is another story though.
Height:
5'5"
Eye Color:
Green
Hair Color/Style:
Dirty blone, Undercut beneath, longer on the top. Often slicked back or pulled back in a short ponytail.
Body Type:
Wiry, this is someone who seems to stay pretty physically active.
Clothing Style: Sort of a 'grunge' look, flannel, boots, and the like for her every day look. Is not against cleaning up and dressing nicely if the situation requires it however.
