Hana was born in Busan, where her family would always find themselves being attacked by the same colossal omnic. Her father ended up dying during one such attack. The grief it had caused her had originally turned her into an omnic hater, and she made many decisions that she regrets from that time. Her home was constantly in a state of disarray, and her family couldn't afford to move out. Hana's only escape from her poor grief and bitterness was the arcade. Even when it had been destroyed, it would be rebuilt again. She had a talent for video games.

The one computer that she had was so old it could only run very old games, like Starcraft II. Her talent at the game had gotten her to the very number was spot by the time she was eighteen. It was then she had gotten some attention. The sudden fame and fortune, it was all she could have asked for. Her family was able to move away, but she chose to stay in Busan. She had been approached by MEKA, and asked to be a pilot for their mechs, to combat the omnic that had caused her so much grief. How could she say no? Of course, after that she became much more famous. Movies, streaming, it's all she's ever wanted.
