Despite whatever inner crisis Tom is going through on any given day of the week, he is a master of putting on a brave face and powering through it, he has a knack for bouncing back no matter what adversity happens to strike his fancy, and probably doesn't give himself enough credit when it comes to strength of character, his ability to reconnect with his center and overcome his inner demons, at least on the outside, is a strength he doesn't even realize he has. As well as being unfathomably good at bouncing back, Tom is also a very people oriented person, a friendly face and a bright smile that kind of just invites you into being his friend, he's never been too much, or too little, just the right amount of care and kindness, he says things in a simple and matter of fact manner, because that is essentially what Tom i, simple and matter of fact, and despite the things he struggles with, he has a genuine love for people, he would befriend the world if given the chance.
The always say the funniest people are often the ones hurting the most, and Tom is a textbook example of this, he is the boy who is always cracking dumb jokes, pulling goofy faces just to make his friends smile, because at the end of the day all he ever wants is to see people smile. He often considers pursuing a career that would allow him to do this, but his dreams often get pushed away or buried deep out of fear of actually attempting to make them happen, he never considers how he feels however, more interested in the way those around him are feeling, and even on his darkest days, he does his best to make everyone smile and laugh. The one thing he hates more than anything is causing another person grief, and he will often go out of his way to be a polite and friendly young man, he does his best to learn a person's buttons, and will do everything he can not to push them, he hates rocking the boat, and hates seeing others unhappy for something he caused.

Tom has always been an incredibly compliant boy, he does what he does because he's always been told that that is what he is supposed to do, that's not to say that he lacks dreams and aspirations, but with no direction or skills to figure out how to make them happen, his dreams tend to fall by the wayside to just doing what he's supposed to do, because he's supposed to do it, perpetually trapped in the 'finding himself' phase, with no one to give him any direction, and no skills to help him choose a path on his own. He was the boy that was picked on for being oversensitive, the boy that didn't know how to interact and relate to the others of his age, and much of this has followed into his adult life, he's still a fairly overly sensitive young man, taking failures and spills hard, it is not difficult to make him throw in the towel on anything he actually tries to do, and any shortcomings he has are met with a miserable acceptance that he'll always just be average at best.
Tom is also very easily influenced by the people around him, which has caused a lot of split and uncertainty throughout his younger years, watching and hearing his mother and sister pull him two ways has left him with little ability to make his own decisions, he is the master of asking "what do you think I should do?" and will often do what is thought that he should, simply because he has no clue how to make his own decisions. All of this congeals into a neat little package of anxiety when it comes to trying new things or tackling new experiences, he's not content with routine, but he's too afraid to try anything different to break it, this tends to get him into an endless cycle of sameness that only serves to worsen the issues he has.

Hair Color/Style: Blonde, a more wheat-y sort of color, kept semi-short but also impossibly bedraggled.
Eye Color: Hazel
Attire: Tom tends to dress in a simple, ridiculously casual way, khaki cargo shorts and Tshirts with stupid sayings on them, a testament to his sense of humor.
