"Two possibilities exist... Either we are alone in the Universe or we are not... Both are equally terrifying." Arthur C Clarke
The Museum of Extraterrestrial Activity or at least the sign called the dilapidated structure before her proudly called it that. Fortunately most of the primitive natives had deserted this abandoned town a long time ago. She walked through the dusty doors, admiring the curious exhibits. This amused her greatly especially the little Green Men who were surprisingly what the Humans believed her species' actually appeared like. Wow, some of the Humans were incredibly dumb.
History seemed to possess this weird way of repeating itself. Catching a piece of human space junk in a thermal oscillator resulted in a crashed alien space craft in a now ruined parking lot or what Humans called a parking lot.
She moved passed the curious trinkets and random objects that the natives strangely considered to be alien in origin. At least several pieces belonged to a few Human crafts. Vara paused before the one object or rather a painting or a picture. She moved towards it with a calm interested grace, a clearly alien figure in midnight blue armour with a billowing blue, red and gold cloak. Vara reached up to the picture it looked as if the alien might be admiring it.
The object pictured in it however was what drew her attention. The Relic, the one her ancestors foolishly made the decision to hide it on this world, this Relic led to the destruction of countless species. Her kind deliberately created the story of a asteroid striking the Earth in order to prevent the Humans from searching for it. No one knew where it was located, but if it could be found and taken away from this world... The galaxy might be safer because of it.
Or at least the Humans would be. They possessed a brief interest in space and one of their missions almost discovered a alien outpost on the surface of Moon. Almost.
She hungered for the picture, it was not much, not even a clue but a mere fragment.
