When the Cat's Away...[Lucio/Ansell]

Ansell had been practically catatonic since George had left, it was weird, he'd never minded being alone before...but there was something deeply comforting about having someone there all the time. He watched an Infomercial about some kind of fancy gizmo that was supposed to make perfect eggs every time, Junkrats voice breaking the trance of the TV. He blinked and his eyes hurt, he'd had them open for way too long, they were dry. Rubbing his face he tilted his head. Something fun? Well Ansell wasn't one to turn down entertainment, and certainly Buckshot was entertaining.

"Okay, Buckshot;" he said after a moment of thought on it, he shouldn't. George would be upset, though George wasn't here was he? what he didn't know wouldn't hurt him. He stood up and slunk over, no shoes on his feet as he'd simply forgot them wherever they'd been left last. "What doing? Mice? Oh haha. Commander, George...old men gone. We alone!" He seemed to catch on quick.

"What have. Mind?" He asked of Junkrat curiously tilting his head, he pulled at one of the dreads there nervously. "Something boom?"

Lucio was actually out of the room, but never too far as he needed some room for him to practice his wall-riding. He decided to see if he can make it better than it already is but something keeps going wrong and it's quite annoying. "Darn it," he'll grumble with a huff, deciding to take a break as he goes back to the workspace to check on Ansell and Jamie. He'll enter the room, smiling brightly at his two friends, even though he hasn't talked much to Ansell. He still considers him a friend anyway.

Then he noticed Jamie's evil grin and he'll frown.

"What are you thinking?" Lucio asked before giving Ansell a small wave and a grin.

Junkrat was admittedly more glad than he realized to see Ansell actually get up and move, he'd been getting worried about him. He grinned wide and gave an enthusiastic nod, "Yeh! We're alone mate! Know what that means?" He gave a rather mad giggle and rubbed his hands together, "means it's about time I test out my new weapon." He'd been working on this bad boy for a while, and was fairly proud of the results of his labor, of course he had to test it, but there was no way he'd be allowed to do so with the senior members crawling about, "Something boom indeed, mate."

His face lit up considerably when he saw Lucio, tilting his head and quirking a brow at that frown, "wot? Yew say that like I have some diabolical scheme, mate!" He said this with a grin, then chuckled, "I'm jus' testin' somethin'...Thas' all!" He turned back to his work station to haul out what looked like a shotgun, if it were beefed up and fed steroids, "I got t'thinkin'...Shotguns are nice, specially loaded with buckshots, but wot if a shotgun fired exploding scrap buckshots?!" He giggled wildly and patted the weapon, "This beast'll leave a nasty impression on people...Bit like a more lethal pipe bomb launcher." He chuckled and looked between them, "Of course I ain't gonna launch actual pipe bombs, that'd be stupid...But I do wanna see how well it'll fire!" He held up a separate device and grinned, "so I built a bunch of...Well they're kinda like blanks...Like really beefy fireworks..."

He looked between the two of them with a huge grin, twitching in his eagerness, "So, yew lot wanna help me test 'er out!?" He figured there were plenty of empty crates and shit littered around the base that they could shoot at, he nudged in their direction with a grin, "c'mooon, no one's here t'say nooo...It'll be fun!" Assuming he didn't take his or anyone else's limbs off.

Ansell tilted his head, and went to digging in his own pile of trash he kept lying around; he pulled out a drone, looked to be either stolen from or base on Mei's little bot friend. Though this one didn't seem intent on freezing anyone, instead half of it was replaced by a camera. "Hm," he hummed and shook it a bit, it finally came to life. The wild man grinned. "Camera. speed, take slow. Yeah?" He said with a nod. It was a high speed camera apparently, so they could get a real good look at the mechanics of Junkrat's new play thing. He'd not been entirely sure why he'd made this franken bot, but he supposed he needed something to fiddle with. He was considering some modifications to his arms too. All these parts were giving him ideas.

The wildman didn't know how to feel about Lucio yet, he seemed nice, but niceness could be decieving and get you killed. He gave a small wave in return. As long as he didn't treat Ansell like he was stupid he could deal with him. "No here. Good fun." He had to agree with Junkrat, no one to tell them not to, certainly Roadhog wasn't about to tell them no. "Big boom. Buckshot show new thing!" He was clearly ready for this, the concept alone sounded mental. "Radikale!" He called in German. "Es wird spannend sein, komm niemand wissen." He certainly had a lot more flow in German than he did English. "Ich kann es nicht abwarten zu sehen." Excited foreign rambling.

He nodded to Junkrat enthusiastically. Yes of course, he'd not say no. "Lead way. Buckshot."

Oh that shotgun that Jamie has been working on. Lucio crossed his arms over his chest, debating on it with a frown. Oh hell. Lucio then grinned as he lets out a small laugh. "Hey, why not try it? Let's go find a place to test it out." What's the worst that can happen? "Maybe I can work on my blades more," he added with a bright grin, now excited for whatever the other two has planned. "I trust you guys, alright? Now let's go see how his weapon works, and if it's good, maybe Jack will let us make it official."

Junkrat's eyes lit up when Ansell fished out the drone, grinning wide and hopping from foot to foot, "A high speed camera drone! Ansell yew brill' fuck!" He looked fascinated by the drone as it puttered around, laughing, "yew always were keen on engineering, I kin' build weapons but this kinda shit flies roight over me 'ead!" So this is what he'd been tinkering with, he remembered the man borrowing his tools often while staying in here, "this'll take some wicked shots!"

He always found it endearing when Ansell called him Buckshot, "yeh! Buckshot's gonna show yew both somethin' brill!" Brilliant and absolutely bananas, he hadn't tested this thing yet, and it could just as easily take his other arm off, but not knowing the outcome was half the fun, "Roadie's th'only old fuck 'ere an' he ain't gonna stop us." He'd never been father of the year when it came to supervision.

He half held his breath as he watched Lucio's face closely, trying to get a udge on what he would say, he gave a whoop when he agreed and grabbed a ratty old backpack from a hook, loading it full of the blanks he'd built, "YES! Lets go lets do this!" He let out a fiendish string of giggles as he waved for the other two to follow him, "wouldn't that be a riot? Me usual weapon is fine..." He huffed and looked thoughtful, "but if I'm ever caught alone and surrounded, I'm fucked, need somethin' with'a more immediate payoff." He patted the weapon in his arms, "this bad boy'll make mince with th'real ammo loaded." He looked over at Lucio quizzically, "so, where d'yew suggest we fire this bad boy off, mate?"

Ansell looked rather pleased with himself, he hadn't survived years, bunker to bunker without a bit of know how. He'd rigged up a lot of automated systems for tracking, and recording people around his base, as well as some nasty surprises for them when they tripped those sensors. Anything to keep his stashes and camps safe. Now he could put his fidgeting fingers to some other use. Like messing with George's spare hammer curiously, he'd have to put it back together but he wanted to know it's purpose....and then he'd made a drone out of extra bits lying around that Winston wasn't using. "Like it. Do it before," he agreed. When he'd retired he'd hoped to enjoy his hobby and passion, but it hadn't worked out that way. "Should good shots. Be fun watch the booms." He gave a chuckle.

"Have spare. In case lose arm." He motioned to Junkrats good arm with a smirk. You know in case, Ansell had cannibalized at least two of Whiskey's bots that were supposedly "unsalvagable" after the incident with the virus so the wild man had decided to take them. Not that he'd asked or anything. "Hehe."

Lucio trusted him? Well sweet of him to say if the feeling wasn't perfectly mutual yet. He liked Buckshot and Buckshot liked him though, so he was on much better footing. "Blades? Oh. Skate? Can't do," he mused thinking of the last time he'd rollerbladed and recalling a lot of bloody knees. He scrunched up his face. "Ah, yes location. Uhm."

They look so excited. It's pretty awesome. Lucio rubbed the back of his neck as he waits for Jamie to get ready, thinking of where they could go to try out the weapon. "There's an old storage unit not far from here, a bit of a wall but it should be big enough to test things out. Sort of empty too." Lucio answered with a nod as he looks at the small drone, impressed by it as he brightens up. "You guys are really smart, it's awesome!"

"Don't worry man, skating is hard at first. I'm so used to it that I wear them the most out of any other shoes, makes me feel at least a little bit taller." He's forever sour that he's so tiny compared to everyone else. Oh well. "Now, let's get this show on the road shall we?"

Junkrat's eyes were bright with excitement, or madness, or both, one could never tell exactly which emotion the energetic young man was cycling through. He shouldered the sack and grinned wide at Ansell, "well yer welcome t'any scraps I got lyin' around, lord knows I got plenty!" Not everyone trusted Ansell with such things, and maybe that was well founded, but Junkrat trusted him, especially when it was just the two of them in his workshop, "maybe yew kin help me rig up some more complex designs, eh?" He could do a lot of wiring for explosives, but it was rudimentary at best, he could only imagine the things he could build with an engineer's eye. "Ha! Yeh! Never watched me own booms played back!" How nice, to be able to have them recorded.

He grinned over at Lucio and moved to bump against his side gently, hooking his arm around his, "Lucio's one hell of a beast on them things, eh mate?" There was affection in his voice, and he nodded enthusiastically when Lucio suggested the warehouse, "Perfect! Yew lead th'way mate!" His face became bashful and he scratched his cheek, "Ansell's th'smart one. No matter wot anyone says, I'm jus' resourceful. This fucker's brill though!" Lucio's enthusiasm was rubbing off on him, and he felt like dashing the whole way there, but he'd settle for a comfortable limp, "I'm glad yew two were on board, woulda' been borin' testin' this thing out by meself. And at least if I blow me arm off ya'll kin both sort out a new one!" Lucio was a healer after all, and Ansell had his spares. He would much rather be doing this with friends anyway.
