Would you Bite the Hand [Lucio][Mature for Sin]

Lucio has been having a blast since he found out Jamie is here and that they're both on the same team. Talking to potential fans and to other recruits were also fun and he hasn't noticed that Jamie seemed a bit.. mad. Down yes, but not angry. After spending some time exploring the base, he'll make his way back to the workshop to check on Jamie until he finds out that it's locked. He'll frown a bit, pressing a few buttons on the keyboard to unlock it before slipping inside. "Hey, Jame," he greeted with a smile, gliding over to the other before hugging him. "How are you feeling?"

He'd been thankful when Jack agreed to give him his own space to work, it gave him somewhere he could retreat to when things became too overwhelming, it was his space, and he tended to be very choosy about who could come in. Right now though, he just wanted to be left alone, that's why he'd locked the door, something he didn't normally do.

He was, at the present, hunched over the table with his head buried in his arms, he might have looked like he was asleep were it not for the rapid tapping of his foot on the ground, he needed to cool off before he hurt himself or someone else, the downside of this place was the sheer amount of tools to do such a thing with. At least the lights were dim and the room was quiet. Until the door opened, of course.

He sat up when Lucio slipped inside, how irritating, the door had been locked for a reason. He tried to breath, to chill out enough to tell Lucio that now wasn't the best time, but the man instead of staying put sailed over to hug him. The gesture made him tense up and pull away, "augh...d-don't..." He breathed as he sat down on the bed that had been set up for him in the room, scratching nervously at the skin of his wrist, "Fine." Was his one response, half growled, when Lucio asked how he was feeling. He hated feeling utterly helpless like this, like his normal self could only watch what was going on from the backseat of a train building up way too much steam.

That's new. Lucio stood still as he watches Jamie move to sit on the bed instead, frowning as he decided to stay put. "You're not fine," he replied softly, but how the response he got was growled out made him tense. Usually if Jamie was upset, he would let him embrace him and everything. Unless something is extremely wrong. And there is something wrong. Against his better judgment, he'll move a bit close to Jamie with that same frown. "How can I help if you don't tell me what's wrong?" Lucio asked quietly, moving to kneel down beside the other.

"Look, I know you're upset and I have no idea why, but whatever it is, let me help," he continued with a worried expression on his face. He has no idea how thin of the line he's crossing now.

The door had been locked, why did he have to come in anyway. The man's presence would have been welcomed any other time that he was feeling upset, usually hearing his voice was enough to soothe away whatever was hurting him. But this was different, noise and talking had been what drove him down here, he'd been hearing nothing but voices for days, "I am fine." Still a growl, but more hostile this time, he was trying his damnedest not to snap and bite like the overwhelmed dog he was, but Lucio's voice was only making it worse.

"Don't need help. I locked that fuckin' door fer a reason yew know." Don't hurt him, don't you dare hurt him. His conciense was screaming at him, his skin where he was scratching at was raw red from the attention and he couldn't seem to stop the anxious twitching. He flinched again when Lucio spoke, pulling back from him to stumble to his feet and hiss.

"Yer why! Yew and fuckin' everyone else!" His eyes were burning into Lucio now, distant but still zeroed in on him, "all the fuckin' noise and talkin', always talkin', expectin' ME to talk!" He was breathing hard now, his hands on the side of his head squeezing tight, "I locked the door to get away from everyone, away from YEW!" He didn't realize he'd taken a hard swing at Lucio until he missed and stumbled, glaring hard at him, "I don't NEED yer fuckin help! Just...Just FUCK OFF!" His eyes were malicious as he glared venom at him, a dangerous glare with a promise of violence.

Lucio moved to stand up, opening his mouth to say something until Jamie finally snapped. He froze there, watching the other with wide eyes and a broken-hearted expression on his face. He just felt his heart shatter into millions of pieces and he couldn't help but to tear up, but barely missing that swing was what hurt a lot as well. Jamie was going to hit him. Lucio moved to hug himself, eyes looking elsewhere as he bites the bottom of his lips.

He stayed deadly quiet, sniffling a bit as he moves to take a few steps away from Jamie. Then he turned to glare at the other. "Well, fuck you too!" Lucio growled out, voice cracking under the emotions. "Sorry for caring and wanting to help," he continued, unable to keep up the anger as it melts down into pure sadness instead. "I'll go," Lucio finally mumbled, turning to quickly make his way out of the workshop, deciding to go for a walk.. or run.. instead.

It was that expression on his face that snapped him out of it, the storm over as quick as it had come, "ugh..." He felt dizzy and disoriented, and utterly horrified at the scene that had just taken place. It wasn't the first time he'd had a meltdown like that, Mako had been witness to plenty, but it had been the first time he'd ever seen a look like that cross Lucio's face. He'd almost hit him, the one person he gave a shit about, the one person who actually loved him. He could only stand stunned as Lucio spat those words at him and left, "Lucio..." His voice was tiny and came too late as he was already gone.

He clenched his fist tightly before slamming his metal hand against the metal of the wall, hissing at the reverberations that made the whole thing ache, "fuck..." He felt hit tears of shame well up in his eyes, what should he do? Go try and talk to him? He had to. He steeled himself before leaving the workshop, casting around desperately for the man, for once blocking out everyone else in his single minded mission to find him. He was glancing around desperately, "L-Lucio?" He hated how poor his eyes were, but felt certain he'd recognize him even at a distance, he was thankful to see that most everyone had cleared off to do their own thing.

Lucio actually didn't wander off to far, just enough to not hear Jamie call out for him. He'll find a small spot by the cliff overlooking the water, curling up there as he leans against the building. He already got some attention from other people but they didn't say a thing, only frowned. He hugged his knees close to his chest, watching the waves crash against the cliff before rubbing his eyes with a sniffle. All he wanted to do was help, but it only made things worse. 'Stop caring so much and you'll be hurt less', he thought to himself as he turns his gaze to stare at the sky instead.

He'll let out a shaky sigh, shifting a bit to curl up into a tighter ball as if trying to make himself hide from everyone. Lucio sniffled as the scene replays over and over in his mind. Jamie was so upset and he had to go make it worse. That's what caring too much does and now.. he hates it.

Jamison tried to ignore the few filthy looks he did get from people who had seen the very upset Lucio leave his room, he couldn't blame them really, he'd hurt Lucio bad. His searching finally brought him to the spot where Lucio had curled down against the wall, he looked so small, smaller than usual. The pit in his stomach upon seeing the man he loved so deeply like that was enough to make him sick, and for a moment he considered turning around and leaving him be, he'd done enough damage already.

He swallowed as he approached, unable to meet Lucio's eyes, "Lucio..." His voice was small and very soft as he spoke, keeping his distance and fidgeting with his hands, "I-I'm...I'm sorry..." He still couldn't meet his eyes, the utter shame was clear on his face as he finally managed to look at him, his expression guilty and sad, "That wasn't...I...I almost hurt you..." His voice was shaking, out of fear of his own broken mind and the fear of what he'd almost done. He looked out over the water with a desperate expression, as if he could find some escape route there.

Breath. Relax. Lucio thought to himself over and over, taking a deep breath before letting it out slowly. Then he heard the other's voice. He couldn't help but to tense up, as if waiting for Jamie to finish releasing his anger and annoyance, but it didn't come. Instead he heard the apology and Lucio wiped his eyes again with a sniffle. What can he do? He honestly has no idea. Lucio stayed deadly quiet, which is really unlike him and it was rather sad. Should he go ahead and forgive him? He did make Jamie more upset anyway, it was more his fault. That he believed anyway.

"I should have left you alone," he finally said rather quietly, his voice breaking here and there before he clears his throat. "It's my fault for the way you reacted and.. for caring too much, I guess. It always backfires," Lucio continued quietly, finally getting the strength to look up at Jamie for a quick moment before looking elsewhere. "I am the one who should be sorry. I deserved all that."

He hated this silence that was spanning between them, it made him fidget and twitch, he didn't know what to do about it. He'd screwed up, this was his fault and no one else's, if he wasn't such a fucking lunatic he wouldn't have flown off the handle, if he could just function like a normal human being instead of some time bomb ready to blow. There'd been a reason he was so afraid of being with someone this way, and he'd proven just how bad for Lucio he was. He kept his eyes out over the water, grimly wondering how good a swimmer he was, until Lucio finally spoke.

"N-no...D-don't yew dare blame yerself." He turned now to face him, "s-stop sayin' things like that, mate." He looked over his hand with a lost expression, "I almost hit yew an' it wasn't anythin' yew did. I'm just..." He turned from him and close d his eyes tightly, shaking his head, "I'm not good fer yew. Now yew can see why. That wasn't me..." He was shaing now, swallowing hard, "yew can do better...Yew should do better." He gave him a distraught look, his eyes sad, "I love yew...More than anything else but...But yew deserve better." He wrapped his arms around himself and whimpered, "I don't want t'lose yew b-b-but...I can't...I can;t force yew t'stay in a relationship where yew ain't safe." He sunk to the ground beside Lucio and put his hands on the sides of his head, "I don't want t'lose yew...B-but it's not fair t'expect yew to deal with my damage." He didn't know what else to say, he'd screwed up, and he wouldn't blame Lucio if he never wanted to see him again.

Lucio only stayed quiet, listening to Jamie with a frown. "It's true. If I didn't force my way in, everything would be fine," he mumbled a bit stubbornly, refusing to believe that it wasn't his fault. He feels it and it's making him more upset and hurt with each passing second. Once Jamie sat down next to him, Lucio turned to look at him. Jamie didn't mean all that. He was just upset, that's all. Nothing else. He took in a deep breath and letting it out slowly. Relax. Finally Lucio shifted to move closer to the other, moving so he can sit in his lap before wrapping his arms around his neck. "Jamie, listen," he started softly, head tilted a bit. "Everyone has their breakdowns and terrible days. I picked you because I love you. I know you didn't mean to do anything like that. You just snapped and that was it, and it's not your fault."

Lucio then let out a sigh, moving his hand to rest it on Jamie's cheek. "I'm here for you through everything and we need to work together and get passed it. I know I can't help all the time but I do want to try and make things more pleasant for you. People are going to think I'm insane, I mean.. they already do, but I don't care. We're in this together and we'll overcome the obstacles that stand in our way." Lucio then smiled softly, using his free hand to rub his eyes gently.

Jamison's eyes widened a little in surprise when Lucio moved into his lap, his eyes welling up with tears, "Lucio..." He closed his eyes and wrapped his arms around him tightly, holding onto him as if for dear life, "Lucio...It's not yer fault. 'Ow were yew s'posed t'know?" He pressed his forehead to his when he spoke and looked into his eyes, "but that don't excuse it...I almost hurt yew...I would've if I hadn't missed my swing...I'm dangerous." But he had a soft smile on his face, showing that he was beyond glad that Lucio didn't hate him.

He sniffled and leaned into his hand when he placed it against his cheek, "yew have enough t'worry about without havin' t'carry my garbage...It ain't fair t'yew mate..." He lifted his hands to take his cheeks, closing his eyes tight, "I don't want t'hurt yew...I love you too much to ever see that look on yer face again..." He gave him a gentle kiss against his forehead, his breath hitching with the urge not to cry, "they think yer insane because yew are mate. Fer whatever reason you picked me...That makes yew about as crazy as I am." He wrapped his arms around him tightly and buried his face against his chest, "I can't bear losin' yew...I'm so afraid yer gonna realize what a mess I am and leave an'...I wouldn't blame yew..."

He couldn't help but to sniffle again, keeping still for the other with a frown. "Maybe you were close on that but." He stopped. How can he actually forgive Jamie for that part? It was rather scrambled in his mind and honestly, he doesn't want to think on that anymore. "It's alright," he finally mumbled softly as he stays as close to the other as possible. "Hey, I'm a healer around here. It's my job to help everyone as much as I can." Lucio then blushed lightly at the forehead kiss, sighing once more. "I love you too, Jamie."

Lucio then tightened his hold around the other as well, forcing a tiny laugh. "Isn't there a saying that us crazies gotta stick together? And I picked you because I know you're a great person, and that you have a lot of potential. You're fine and no, you're not going to lose me. I'm not going anywhere."
