A Matter of Life or Death (Reaper)

Reaper has no idea how long it took for him to come back after that shot to the stomach, he usually knows how long. But his mind is on something else. Siberia. How long did it take him to find this place he's watching? No idea. It's heavily guarded but it's nothing that he can slip by, but getting Angela out will be the hard part. Why can he think straight? Reaper held his head a bit, growling a bit in pain before moving his hand to rest it on his stomach. The pain is still lingering. It's a huge bother, but it doesn't interrupt his smoke movements, luckily.

He watched the guards carefully, some standing there and others walking around with rifles. Looks like one Jack Morrison had. This place is bad enough already but he's not here for that. He's here to get Angela out. How? He's still thinking on that. Maybe cause a distraction. Call on the Talon agents? Hm. The electric fences might prove a bit of difficulty. It won't hurt him, just slow him down massively. Then again he can easily go over them too. Reaper moved quietly to get closer, examining every inch of the place.

Bingo. Reaper then turned into smoke, quickly making his way to an unguarded area before going over the fence. He'll then become a solid figure again, leaning against the wall before glancing up at the nearest guard tower, watching the man boredly look around. Okay, so far so good. Now where is the vent? He looked around frantically, spotting barred windows and he'll narrow his eyes to try and see inside without getting attention.

Mercy thought for a moment that she saw a flicker of movement, but she dismissed it as a trick of the night upon tired eyes. With a heavy heart she moved slowly away from the window, seeing there was nothing to be gained from such a behaviour.
The majority of the other scientists had already turned in for the night, leaving Angela alone with a heavy heart and dark thoughts. She knew alone that she could not escape, nor with the other scientists for many simply did not wish to leave or had little stomach for a one sided fight with the security forces.
She resigned herself to continuing her medical research and resolutely refusing to develop weapons. They may of kidnapped her but she would never allow them to take away her sense of moral decency.

Angela kicked off her boots as she sat down on her springy mattress. One thing was pleasant here, the bed were incredibly comfortable. Probably no doubt in an attempt to make the scientists feel at home with their captive environment.
Some were content with their work, they still made brilliant discoveries here. Space age alloys, improved sonic emitters, mobile telsa weapons, cold fusion cells, force filled particle research, DNA hybridisation were just a few of the scientific marvels created in the electronic forges of the Tregillis Corporation's kidnapped scientists.

The technological wonders forged here had the capacity to change countless lives, but Tregillis Corp cared only for profit happy to sell to anyone who offered them sufficient funds or resources. This facility was located in Omnic held territory, though the Omnics of the Siberian knew of it thanks to shady deals between the Corporations and the machines.
Angela had learned a lot in her time here, but she wanted to escape and her only hope remained in someone arriving to rescue her. But... The Corporation covered it's tracks well, leaving her with little hope of rescue.

There's movement inside and he moved a bit closer to peek in. Angela? Hm, what if she doesn't know what the evil clone of her did? Poor thing is going to freak out. What if this is just another evil clone? Well, this time he's prepared. He can't call for her here, not if he wanted to get attention on them both. How on earth is he going to get her out? He'll turn into smoke again before slipping inside successfully, moving to hide in the darkness of the room before forming back into a human. The room was a bit small, but big enough to do experiments and other medical jobs. Then there she was, off to the side. Gabriel kept his face hidden and kept to the dark, taking in everything that's here. Maybe he can profit off this himself.

Then he rested his gaze on Angela, who just seemed so tired. Should he say something? Reaper glanced around again, making sure it was completely safe to do so before stepping out of the dark, arms loosely crossed over his chest. "Angela?" Reaper asked quietly, again with the deep tone, not that he could help it. But he needs to know if he's dealing with the real thing here or just another that's trying to kill him.

The bleak hopelessness of her situation threatened to press upon her. Escape was a impossibility, a complete and utterly impossibility, nothing more than a pipe dream. She had been about to lie down on her bed in order to get some rest for another busy day tomorrow, yet a familiar voice spoke suddenly. Angela looked up to see a figure stepping out of the shadows, a figure with a achingly familiar voice.
"Gabriel?" She called out in reply, her voice like a hushed whisper as she stood up her body filled with a mixture of surprise and quiet sense of jubilation.

"Is it really you?" Angela took a step towards him, half expecting it to be a trap. She wondered if the Corporation knew about the her past with Gabriel. She thought he had died, he must of as most of Overwatch did when it fell. News still managed to reach the prisoners though there was little she could do about the information she received.

It has to be her. Gabriel tensed up when she took a step closer, frowning at the question even though she can't see his face currently. "Yes," he finally answered after a bit of silence, but still quietly so he doesn't get any attention from anyone outside the room. Does she know that the evil clone experimented on him? Probably not. He doesn't want to get too close this time, just in case, but she does deserve to see his face. To see what happened after the fall of Overwatch. With a low noise, he'll move to take off his mask, making it disappear before glancing at the door as he hear footsteps. Though it just passed by and he'll relax once more with a low noise, turning his gaze to the other with a sigh.

"Hopefully this isn't another little trap I'm walking into," he grumbled softly as he examines the room again.

Joy filled her face, her eyes shining bright with relief. "It is you." Angela whispered her voice carrying an air of excitement. She did not want to move too close to him, just in case he was something created by the Corporation to cause her harm. Angela knew nothing of the evil clone or what horror had been inflicted upon Gabriel in her absence.

"I hope so too." She agreed with him. "I'm rather hoping you are in fact you." Angela tried to keep her voice as quiet as possible. One never knew who was listening in or if their conversation might draw attention upon her. She possessed far too many questions, too many for such a time like this. She believed it best to not raise those questions here, such an action might lead them both to a position where they are in danger.
She contented herself with a smile, Angela wanted to wrap her arms around him, drink in his comforting scent, just hold him. Angela believed him to be dead, yet here he was.
"I thought you were dead."

She has no idea, poor thing. When the time comes and she learns what has happened, she'll probably break down. Telling her everything is for another time, however. He has to get her out of this place, somehow. The place is huge, fully guarded and each guard with a strong weapon, plus those electric fences. "Don't worry, I'm as real as I can possibly be," he answered as he continues to keep his distance, glancing towards the window. Could she fit through it? Hm.

"I was dead, but you.." no, "your clone decided to do some experiments and lets just say it didn't end very well," with that, she'll show her a quick example which is his sharp teeth and red eyes. Though he'll finally move to rest his hands on the bars of the window, trying to figure out how to do all this. "What a mess we got ourselves into," he commented as he tries to break a bar, but only managing to dent it just slightly. Not enough. Dammit. Maybe he could call in a few favors.

She seemed to relax at his words, the concern that he might be fake fading away. Angela truly longed to believe that he was who he said he was. "Okay." She watched him carefully, taking in his unusual gear. It was in a way similar to what he wore in Overwatch, if just a bit spiky.
"What?" Her voice rose tremendously and she winced, mentally kicking herself. The news that someone like her had done this in her name hurt. She looked at the sharp teeth and red eyes. "I'll fix it." Though for the moment Angela did not know how to even start.

"You're telling me." The doctor replied. "I've been deliberately making technologies that only could of come from me in the hopes that someone out there might notice." Angela looked at him as he stood by the window. "I'm guessing you somehow discovered I had been replaced and not merely kidnapped?"

"Try and be a bit more quiet," Gabriel mumbled as he hears her voice rise, frowning as he turns his full attention to her instead. "I don't think you can fix this, Angela." Even though he honestly wishes she could. He wants to get out of this current state he's in. A soul-hungry, insane, undead smoke monster. However he's starting to get used to it as he walks around for a bit more before taking a chance to get close to Angela. Even if she does kill him, he'll come back again. "I wish you can fix it but it's already too late."

"I never noticed until very recently. She admitted to who she really was and attempted to kill me, which, clearly, didn't work. I cannot fully die. She also gave me a hint to where you were," he replied quietly with a slight frown. "Getting out of here will be a challenge, might need to cause a huge distraction so we can have time." Come on, Gabriel, think.

She nodded quietly, deciding against speaking for a few moments half frightened that her words might bring trouble down upon both of their heads. "I will try to find an answer and a solution to it." Angela believed fervently that she would be able to assist him, if not cure it at the very least help him to cope.
She disagreed with what he said, Angela felt compelled to try. She was the only one who could.

"I see... Must of been a poor clone." She nodded the once when he said that he did not die. That much was clear when he stood before her now. "Yes if it were easy to escape I would of attempted it long ago.." Mercy fell silent for a few moments. "Remember when we 'borrowed the helicopter in Stockholm? Maybe we could attempt something like that again?"

Poor Angela. She really wants to try and help him, and Gabriel couldn't help but to frown at that. Angela always wanted to help with the impossible and make them possible. "You may try," he'll simply respond as he walks over to the door, opening it to peek out to see what is there. A couple of walking guards, pretty spread out. Easy to take down. Gabriel then closed the door as he moves to go back to where he was standing before.

"She was quite convincing," he admitted softly as he tries to think where the helicopters could be. He did see a helicopter pad not that far from their position, about a couple of minutes to get there. "Sounds like a plan, it should work," Gabriel responded before turning his gaze to Angela. "When do you want to attempt this?"

"I will always try for you... As you are you." She whispered, looking up at him with those soft blue eyes of her filled with compassion and something more. She watched him open the door to take notice of the guards. Angela tried not to feel too upset when he said the copy was convincing. Shameful, she should of done something in order to prevent this from happening.
But it was too late to drown herself in regret, passed late to worry now some might say.

"Now." She answered straight away, briefly considering rescuing the other scientists. She did not trust them, anyone of them could betray her and Gabriel at the last moment. "Just like Stockholm though with less explosions." Angela chuckled quietly. "It was a interesting night especially the morning after."

Gabriel wasn't sure how to respond to that, but he'll make a small noise in response anyway. He will glance down at her, temporarily making eye contact before giving her a very faint smile. The answer made him smirk as a low chuckle left his lips. "Is there anyone else you want to take with us? I am hoping for just us to get out of here," he then reached in his cloak, taking out his weapons. Probably too heavy for Angela to hold, even though she is pretty strong herself. "It was rather interesting. Now, Doctor, let's get out." Gabriel then mentioned for her to follow and to stay close.
