The Stars Are Calling [Hush]

The kid was good, Hush gave him that, but the sniper was better. He'd been following the kid for a while and had figured out his target. While Reginald was scaling the tower, Hush had disabled the security system, linking it up to his Wristnav. He stood at the corner of the room, watching the boy work and as soon as the boy started to make his way towards the window, Hush sprung his trap. The lights in the office turned on and heavy sheets of metal slammed down over the window and doors. "I'm impressed, though you did slip up. Didn't it strike you odd how the office of one of the most powerful people on the planet had no security?" The sniper said, stepping forward, rifle in hand. "Greetings Reginald Shephard the 5th...my you have been busy. I can think of several people who would pay a handsome sum for you. However, my employer has something else in mind, an offer. Come work for my employer, and you'll be able to use your skills for something and clean your record, also, he has a hiring payment." Hush tossed a bag of money onto the floor in front of him. "Try to run, which will be difficult, and you'll be dead before you can open the windows." Hush loaded a round into his rifle, sending the message that he was serious.

Hm, well wasn't that a change, slip up? Him? Never he sighed as he looked at the bag of money. "Clean my record, I don't have one, well Reginold has one, but Reginold doesn't really matter," he said as he shrugged at Hush. "A slip up? Hm no, I don't think so, incidental delay perhaps, we'll see." He stepped over and looked inside. "Hm, let's see someone wants me, organizations I've worked with...ah well there was Talon, that strange Vigilante, did some corporate espionage, insider trading, which of those is looking for me now?" He didn't seem to be talking Hush, rather blowing him off as he shrugged.

"Money is worthless to me, I have so much I don't even know what to do with it, the material is so boring, so human. Dull, dull it's all dull and you would be?" He tilted his head. "Rifle, mask, able to bypass security, so a secret operative, familiar. Recalling, ah Hush isn't that the name they give you? No one sees you when you shoot, and you're gone by the time the bodies cold, highly skilled. But still...human." He shrugged. "Looking for a human, sad there's none here but you."

He had a rambling way as if his head was in a million places at once. "Hm, no ones caught me before, clever I'll give him that. Not so bad, smarter than that other guy at least, Reaper hm so stupid." He cleared his throat.

"And you think I'm afraid of you shooting me? You have done some research I'll give you that but you miss the pattern, is Reginold Shepard the 5th really who you're looking for? I bet you know where he lives right; I bet you've tagged him with a tracker, tell me where is he? Hanumura right? Did you see him leave before he was here?" A grin started to spread on his face. "Two places, at once. four, five, six maybe even. Pattern, pattern, what is the pattern there. So before you make an offer you'll need to find me."

"But I'll hear you out, who is your employer? What can they /really/ give me?"

Hush was mildly annoyed, but not too surprised by his target's response. "Oh, I'm well aware of your little trick. Funny thing, robotics. Once you have a mold, you can mass produce it. How many of you are there now Reginald, or would you rather I call you Whiskey..." The sniper said. "I figured finding one of your shells would be easier than getting into your underground bunker Whiskey, though if that's what you really want, I am more than willing to get the resources necessary to blast my way in. As for what my employer can offer you." Hush stepped forward and picked up the bag. "He's putting a team together. Perhaps you've heard of it's predecessor, they do share the same name after are. So Reginald, how would you like to join Overwatch?"

Oh he was clever, cute; Reginold grinned. "No need to blast in there's a boarding school over it, you can just walk in, anyone can; that's the beauty of it, a school isn't much of a military target," he hummed as he tilted his head, the bot nodded. "Well I have to say this face is a lot more agreeable to humans than my other one, they get frightened by the stupidest things, absolutely dreadful. Aren't you mostly machine these days yourself? That must be interesting, all the super soldier programs. Some fared better than others wouldn't you agree?" He shrugged. The kid perked a brow, leaning back on his heels. "Team together, Overwatch?" His lip curled up a little. "Overwatch, all the facilities included? Access to Athena? Their experimental prototypes, sattelites...everything?" Couldn't just have a little taste.

"If so, well then, I'd love to join this little team, one small problem; I'd need a forklift and a cargo truck and train to get there." He laughed.

"That's a question you get to ask later." Hush said, still standing his ground. "And there's more human to us super soldiers than you might think. More human than you at least. As for all you're wet dreams about getting your hands on Overwatch tech. You'll have to ask the man in charge. Goes by the name Soldier 76." He then chuckled at the forklift comment. "What, can't you just steal everything you need with your android bodies? After all, it worked good enough for you to get into here and steal just about everything." Hush started to walk towards the door of the office. "I'm guessing you've already hacked into my systems as well, but if not, here." He pulled out a thumb drive and tossed it on the ground. "That should wet your appetite, it'll also give you the coordinates for where you might find 76."

"Oh so it is the old soldier, what treat, here I thought he didn't like what I did; playing with people's things for sport," he mused as he tilted his head. "I suppose you're not wrong there, but I wasn't really given a choice in the matter. Unlike you, suppose works out differently for different people eh bounty hunter?" He gave a chuckle. What a treat, what a treat, finally all that experimental tech, all the connections, the artificial intelligence. Everything he deserved right? Though he would have to work with...humans, people whatever they wanted to be called. "Maybe a little." Was his only comment to the last bit. "It's really quite a fun bit of tech, my bots would really like the added utility." He picked up the drive tilting his head. "Oh well I guess I'll have to find this mystery man, 76." He slipped the drive away and moved back to the window, hm well that was still closed. He moved back to the terminal, and tapped away quickly, raising the security lock out with a few expert strokes. The Police would have been called, he'll need to get out the fast way. As the window he'd come from tilted open once more he leaped, this bot could survive this fall. Likely shatter a few servos, but it'd make it alright. Not like it was that important anyway.

Hush had hoped that Whiskey would try that. As the bot jumped out the window, the sniper pulled out a flare gun, firing it square into the back of the android and signalling his ride out of there. As the ship hovered outside the window, Hush ran and jumped into the open hatch. "Welcome back sir!" The AI greeted him as it shut the door and Hush ran to the controls.

"Not now Athena, get us cloaked and get us out of here now. Can't have Chinese police on our tail." Hush ran through the list of laws he'd recently broken, in addition to those that Whiskey had. Of course, Whiskey would be more likely to get away.

"Very well, where to now sir?" The AI's question caused the sniper to let out a sigh.

"I don't care Athena, just not here." The ship seemed to be fine with the vague instructions as it flew off, vanishing into the night.
