They had swarmed the moment he'd taken a step outside, the press, they stuck microphones in his face and quickly spouted questions. He took a moment to collect himself, and then hold his hands up with a smile. "Please if you'll all just take two steps back, I will answer your questions one at a time to the best of my abilities;" he called out and the mass took those steps, waiting eagerly to be called upon. This was a big story, how could it not be? The creation of a specialized forward strike team; a group that was the greatest hope of the united nations.
"Right okay how about you," Jack called out point to a gentleman with his camera crew.
"Mr. Morrison is it true you're leading this strike team?" Well that was an easy one to start with.
"Yes that is true, I will be Strike Commander;"
"Do you believe this will be successful?"
"More than I believe that the suns coming up," he offered and there was another eager face that piped up.
"Why were you chosen for this position over the other candidate Gabriel Reyes?" She inquired.
"Not sure, but I trust the people in charge had a good reason for it, and I'll do my best even if it would have been an honor to serve under Reyes." A murmur in the gathered crowd.
"What do you think of omnics and this crisis involving them? Do you believe they deserve the rights they demand?" Oh now it was getting controversial.
"It isn't my place to say who should and shouldn't have rights; I'm not a politician, I'm not even a philosopher, I'm just a kid from Indiana," He dodged artfully with a smirk and raise of his brow. "But violence isn't really a way to get what you want from what I've seen, so we're here to stop the violence, what happens after that is up to the people in charge."
"What do you think of the team? Will they be up for the challenges?" That was an easy one.
"The team is incredible, each of those chosen for it represent the strength of their countries and the best of humanity. I am utterly humbled to be a part of this initiative to be with these incredible people. I can't say that enough," he replied. "Alright, I have to get going, more questions will have to be passed on to someone else. Sorry, busy day!" He hastily made his way through the crowd, escaping into a car to be driven off. Woof, that was getting worse every day. But he suppose Hope did that.
He just hoped that they lived up to it.
