Of all the situations he'd been in, this was by far the worst.
Waking up in a strange place was nothing new, there had been plenty of times where he'd gotten blackout drunk or even just lost days of time and ended up in places he didn't recognize. But this was different, because he remembered most everything that had happened up to this point. He'd been Dorado, he thought, it had been the middle of the night and he was taking a stroll, which was probably foolish in hindsight. The last thing he remembered was an explosion of color and a heavy thump at the back of his head, then black.
And it was still black, he guessed this was due to whatever was covering his face, a sack, or a mask, he couldn't be sure, all he knew was that his limbs felt heavy and his head hurt so bad he felt sick, "'Ello?" He didn't know who he was hoping to get an answer from, because if anyone else was here it probably meant bad news for him. He motioned to get up when he realized with a sink of dread that he was completely bound, unable to move a muscle. He wriggled in place and glanced around with a thrill of panic, "'e-ey! Whatever it is yew think I know I don't!" He thought this might be the work of one of the many bounty hunters, finally catching their quarry, he remember the bounty hunters, but not their reason for wanting to catch him. Something he found, but he had no memory of finding anything. He let out a miserable whine, "Jus' put a bullet in me brains an' get it over with, mate." The suspense was killing him.
