Positive | Lúcio is a very positive and uplifting person, he sees the glass as completely full because the other half is air and things need air to live as well. His presence is energizing and he'll always be there for you, no matter what. He doesn't believe that people are evil for the sake of being evil. He's spared those he's defeated, in hopes that they'll change their views on life and use their talents for the better.
Lighthearted | Above nearly everything, Lúcio wants to have fun with whatever he does. And he wants to make sure other people have fun too. He doesn't always take things seriously, especially if someone super serious tells him to be serious. He doesn't see the problem with goofing off along the way as long as he gets the job done. This can lead to wariness from teammates, he's the most likely to ruin a stealth mission by yelling "Oh let's break it down" or running off during a fight to save a lost puppy. Lúcio has a hard time reading the mood - or maybe he just pretends like he can't. He'll constantly make jokes and puns during a battle, pull pranks on the enemy, and blast his music when others least expect it.
Melancholy | Despite his cheerfulness, Lúcio has a darker side to him. He's suffered from period of depression throughout his life, especially when he was younger and unsure of what he wanted to do. Since the rebellion he lead and him becoming a famous musician though, it's mostly stopped. There's a part of him fearing it coming back, so he does all he can to prevent it. This has lead to him creating a protective reaction that triggers whenever anything that would break his heart (and his heart is easily broken) happens. What it essentially does is shut down all his emotions in order to negate any further harm that the event may cause until his mind can deal with it. He's realized that this isn't healthy, but figures that it's the best thing to do. He's suppose to be the one that cheers other people up, how can he do that if he's not happy? The pent-up emotions often cause brief periods of melancholy.
Whoosh | For some reason, Lúcio likes to keep busy. It's not that he doesn't enjoy free time and lazy days, he likes to always be somewhere doing something and most of all, he likes to go fast. Nothing tests his patience more than long lines, slow walkers, and traffic. Despite this, once he actually gets to the place he's trying to get to, he'll take his sweet time doing whatever it is he needs to do.
History
Lúcio Correia dos Santos grew up in Rio de Janeiro, in a poor and crowded favela that was hit hard by the financial upheaval following the Omnic Crisis. As Brazil began the long process of recovery, he wanted to find a way to lift the spirits of those around him. He found his answer in music and its power to bring people together and even help them forget their troubles, if only for a short time. He performed on street corners, in block parties, and as he got older, at a string of legendary underground shows.
But Lúcio's close-knit community was thrown into chaos when the multinational Vishkar Corporation secured a contract to redevelop large tracts of the city. Lúcio and his neighbors had been told that the development would improve their lives. However, that promise never became a reality. Vishkar imposed controls on the residents in the name of building a more orderly society: enforcing curfews, cracking down on what the company perceived as lawless behavior, and exploiting the populace as a cheap labor force.
Lúcio wouldn't stand for it. He stole Vishkar sonic technology that had been used to suppress the people, and he converted it into a tool to rally them to action. In a popular uprising, they drove Vishkar out of their neighborhoods. Lúcio's leadership made him a star overnight and a symbol for positive social change. His music skyrocketed in popularity. Whereas he had once performed locally, he was now filling arenas across the world. He built up a career doing live shows, and became something of a national icon in Brazil.
With his newfound fame, Lúcio realized that he had an opportunity to make a difference and change the world for the better.
He's embarked on a world tour to promote his debut album, Synaesthesia Auditiva, which he spent two years working on. He released two tracks beforehand, and was delighted with the positive reception. He has performed at Numbani as well as King's Row.
