Getting Away [Jess]

She had had to tell her mother she was going away for the weekend with her friends and managed to duck out without giving away too many other details...it was easier than explaining she was intending on spending the weekend away with a man, even one she'd been seeing for a while now. She felt no guilt over the little white lie though, he had needed to get away, she had needed to get away, it was kind of fun driving away just the two of them, not doing anything flashy or extravagant...just...being normal for a while. More than anything though she hoped the next day or so would do him some good, he'd been growing more tired and worn down with each day, the balance he was trying to strike to keep everyone happy taking a little more out of him each day.

But here, they were just two normal people who no one particularly cared about. They'd gotten in late enough last night to not have much time for anything beyond dinner and a bit of time spent sitting outside watching the sun set and the moon rise over the surf before bed, it was pleasant and a certain thrill to it, curling up to sleep beside him, knowing he would still be there in the morning.

She slowly started to wake up, smiling a little to herself as she heard the sea outside, felt him shift and move beside her. Too bad this couldn't be for always she thought, nuzzling down into the crisp white pillowcase she was resting her head on.

More than anything Mido found himself enjoying this, being able to hold her close, to put his arms around her without the prying eyes of her mother or his mother or anyone else. It was the sun gently filtering through the window that began tugging him from his sleep, and he couldn't help a lazy, content smile when he looked over to see Jessica still nestled close. He chuckled softly and pulled her against him, giving her a gentle kiss on her forehead and breathing a happy sigh, "hmm...Morning..." He couldn't help but notice that she looked extra cute in the morning, hair a mess with that sleepy look on her face, it was a sight he could get used to seeing.

And he could have stayed like this all day, for days on end, he knew they couldn't though, so he was eager to soak in the moment as much as he could while he still had her in his arms.

She let out a sleepy murmured sound as she let herself be pulled closer. She smiled, one eye and then the other cracked open to blink up at him.

"Morning...is that what that is...?" She yawned and stretched out a little before reaching over and draping an arm across his chest.

She could hear his heart beating when she laid like this, she closed her eyes, contented to lay there and listen to the sound of it paired with his steady breathing. There were plenty of things she wanted to get up and do, but at the same time she rather liked staying just like this. Well, it was still early she supposed. She let out a contented sigh and squeezed her arm around him a little bit.

"Not getting up yet...still early..." She murmured next.

Mido chuckled softly at the sleepy look on her face, reaching a hand to brush it through her hair and over her cheek, "you're even more gorgeous in the morning you know." He was pleased when she draped her arm over him and pressed closer, squeezing her in return and murmuring softly, "Hmm I didn't want to get up right now anyway."

He laughed softly and kissed the top of her head, pulling the blankets more around them to get them even cozier, "I just wanted to see your smile and hear your voice." He yawned and stuffed his face into her hair, laughing softly, "thank you for bringing me out here...I'm glad I can just...Enjoy your company for a while." He was glad to have her all to himself, greedy as that sounded, there was no one else he had to share with here.

"You're just saying that..." She laughed quietly. "My hair...and no makeup..."

She nuzzled against his chest, making little happy sounds at the kisses and light touches. She wiggled up a little bit to kiss the side of his neck, before settle down again.

"You were getting so gloomy...I felt a couple days away would do us both good. And the beach was always one of my favorite places."

She'd always loved coming here, even as a child. She was happy to experience it with him now too, not the first time for either, but the first time together. And that made it special in and of itself.

Mido chuckled and stuck his tongue out at her in a lazy gesture, "am not...You look amazing...And your hair looks cute." He stuffed his face into it and nuzzled like that proved his point, laughing and shaking his head, though he can't help a light blush when she kissed over his neck, humming softly in response, "I was..." He chuckled softly and shook his head, "things were getting...Heavy..I'm glad we came up here."

He closed his eyes and yawned wide, "it's been such a long time since I've been to the beach..." He rested a hand to her cheek and ventured a soft kiss on her lips, "it's even better to be spending the time here with you." He was sure he'd been a child the last time he'd come down to the beach with his mother, time and work just made it impossible after a while. He really was glad she was here with him.
