Ansell sat in front of the elevator, he'd been anxiously awaiting George's return. It'd been a few days and the wildman dragged himself out of bed on his uncertain footing, sitting and waiting. Waiting and waiting and waiting. He was told so many times that George would be fine, he'd get to them when he could. But what if he was captured? Dying? What if he didn't know how to get back here? Sure there had been ships, but what if he couldn't get to one and was under a pile of rubble slowly suffocating to death??
He worried himself to death over these things. He knew George was strong, that Hephaestus was down right terrifying, and that they could take care of themselves but...he couldn't help it. The old soldier was his connection to this world. He was the link to normalcy that Ansell hadn't had in year. It was eating him up not being able to be there for him. Not having stuck with him.
"George..." he murmured in a soft sort of whine. "Come. Please." Ansell sighed as he fidgeted uncomfortably. He never brought anything to do he just sat and waited, wringing his hands and looking around. Paranoid, desperate. Where was he already? Deep down he knew George was alive, he could just feel it. Now he was just waiting for his hopes to be realized. "Come. Now!" He demanded of the elevator.
Bring him down here right now. Nothing really happened when he said that but he was trying to keep talking. George said that even talking to himself would help so he was.
