Currently Untitled work in progress Fallout Fic

So I started writing it, not necessarily chapters, moreso just chunks, anyway, here's the first one.

“We got a merchant!” A lanky man with binoculars shouted to his companions from their hiding place on the overpass. He was angrily shushed by a large man and met with a sigh from a woman with a laser rifle slung over her shoulder.

“We're right here Snitch, you don't need to yell. Are you trying to give away our position?” The woman said before removing her weapon and setting it on the road next to them. “I know, I'm the bait. Don't have to remind me of that Chug.” She said, waving off the big man who picked up a scoped hunting rifle and both men watched as she made her way down to the road below. This merchant must have thought they were hot stuff, considering he traveled alone with just his brhamin. The woman grabbed a clump of dirt and ruffled it into her hair before taking off a few pieces of her armor and tucking them behind a rock before limping towards the merchant. “Please, sir...you have to help me...My party was attacked and I was the only one that made it out...I just need some water or something if you can spare it.” She said, leaning forward a little, giving her unsuspecting mark a clear view down her tattered white top. “Just a little bit...to help...” The merchant stood there and stuttered for a second before moving to his pack animal and rifling through a bag and producing a bottle of dirty water.

“I'm so sorry Miss, I sold my whole stock of pure stuff in the last settlement I was in. This is all I got until I make it to a spring or something.” The woman took the bottle and smiled at the merchant. She winked and gave him a kiss on the cheek before stepping back without the limp.

“Thanks so much doll.” She said as a bullet whizzed past her and into the head of the merchant. She turned around and gave a thumbs up before opening the bottle and taking a drink, feeling the buzz of radiation down her throat. She reached into a holster tucked under the back of her shot and pulled out a 10mm pistol, putting a round into each of the scared Brahmin's heads, dropping it as well as her companions arrived. “Very nice timing Chug, and right between the eyes. You've been getting better at it. Ever since we had Twitch open up the trigger on that gun of yours so your fat fingers didn't get stuck.” She said with a wink as she picked up her armor and shook some of the bigger bits of dirt out of her hair.

“Ha ha, very funny Mags.” Chug said as he started to rifle through the dead merchant's body, pulling out a pair of goggles and forcing them to fit over his head. “Well look what we have here! Guy's got a map!” He pulled out a folded up and tattered piece of paper and unfolded it. It wasn't an old world map, just a crudely drawn map of their surroundings with some random boxes and lines on it.

“Let me see that!” Twig said, grabbing it from the bigger man as Mags went off to retrieve her laser rifle. “Hmm...” The skinny man said, tracing some of the lines with a long and skinny finger. “If I have this right, we're here. Which means that there's a settlement about a day or so that way.” He pointed off down the road the Merchant had been coming from. “Also, based on the lack of any warnings of danger on here, they don't know where we are. Oh, the boss is gonna LOVE this!” Twig said, stuffing the map into the back of his pants. “Mags, that guys map shows us a whole bunch of stuff around here and it doesn't have our camp on it!” He said enthusiastically to his female companion.

“That's good Twig. Boss'll be glad to here that.” She started to poke through a bag on the Brahmin labelled 'apparel' and pulled out a pair of sunglasses that were surprisingly well kept, giving how long they'd been out here. “Ooh, don't mind if I do.” She said, putting them on and sliding them up over her forehead. “Alright, you know the drill. Grab the bullets, grab the guns, grab food and medical supplies. Chug, shove the bodies off the road and make sure they aren't easy to find.” Chug nodded and started to lift bags off the back of the animal while Twig and Mags moved the man's body out of the way, Twig taking his hat and putting it on himself. The large raider rolled the looted Brahmin off the road and joined his companions and the three made their way back to their camp.
