It had started out between just Solomon and Charlie, a little side project that they did for fun, it was mostly for Charlie's benefit as Sol had never been a believer, and he was still a skeptic, even after the countless encounters and incidents they'd had. Solomon had always had a very logic driven brain, and as such often refused to believe even when the proof was right there, there was always some explanation or logical scientific reasoning from the physics major, but he loved Charlie, and Charlie enjoyed doing this, so he humored him and let him drag him along to all manner of creepy ass place. The travelling part was fun, Solomon would admit that, like a constant road trip with his boyfriend, who could ask for more than that?
They'd started out not worrying about filming any of this shit, the experience of their own often enough, but eventually that became boring, because what good were ghost encounters if only they could experience the stories? It had been Charlie's idea to bring Jamison, AKA Rat, onto their little creepshow. The two were cousins, and Jamison was a film major, or claimed he was, Sol always got the impression that he was more like some creepy weirdo who lived in his van, but he did do good work and knew a whole hell of a lot about cameras and video editing, so Sol was okay with him being here.
Ian was their solution to both a lack of experience, and also money. The man was a relative of Sol's, though Sol still couldn't entirely place where he came from in the family tree, he was fucking loaded though, and seemed to know more about ghosts and the supernatural in general than all of them combined. He was weird, but Sol felt safe with the man, and given that he had no family to speak of, a part of him saw Ian as something of a father.
Sol yawned and stretched out across Charlie's lap as the three younger members of the group hung out in the back of the RV, glancing up at him with a thoughtful expression, "shouldn't be much more than a couple of hours till we get there, eh? What do you think we'll find?" He waved his hands with a grin, "spooky ghosts? Or maybe a demon this time!" He chuckled, rolling over onto his stomach still in his lap.
Jamie spit on the lens of his camera with a wry sort of expression, "demons don't haunt hotels n'less someone did a ritual'r some shit." He rubbed off the lens with a wipe and chuckled, "though I s'pose *we* could summon th'demon, eh?" He snickered softly, "I gotta big ass book about demons'n shit! All them cool rituals!" He snickered despite the dry look from Sol, clearly amused with himself and his sense of humor.
