Continued Relocation (Val)

"Well yeah, probably." Ravi said, glancing over at the window he'd come in through, make sure he hadn't accidentally broken it in the process of demonstrating exactly what he did. "Vishkar is known for their anal levels of persistence and you know, Europe has proven itself a rather beautiful continent." He took a sip of his water and shrugged. "Besides, for the most part, when I'm not fleeing a country, I can usually do some good for wherever I am. So, you know, it isn't too bad."

Valerie looked unimpressed. "I hope they have no plans of building something here, I'll certainly have something to say about it." She nodded at his words and looked thoughtful, her gaze unreadable. "As long as you're happy it doesn't really matter what you do I suppose." She lost herself in thought once again and realised that returning to Overwatch probably was a good idea. Helping people made her happy, so why hadn't she followed her own advice? Truthfully, she was a little worried that things between the omnics and humans would worsen in Kings Row, even though the death of Mondatta was perhaps the worst it could ever be.

"You'll be fine. They're too busy building and rebuilding Utopaea they very rarely leave. Last time they had an outside project was those slums in favella that got destroyed in South America somewhere." He said shrugging. "In all the time I was an architect, London never even got mentioned." He took a sip of his water and stopped, hearing a sound. "Did you hear that?" Ravi asked, before he got a chance though an entire wall burst opened and a massive armored figure landed in the room.

"You are in possession of stolen Vishkar technology. Return it and your death will be swift." The angel said, massive axe in hand. Ravi cursed and jumped up, grabbing Val's hand.

"We need to get out of here, now!" He said, pulling her from the room and into the hall. Raphael followed slowly, tearing the door off the wall. Ravi threw up walls of light to slow their pursuer down, though it was mostly a fruitless effort. He pulled Val out of the building and into the street, the angel still pursuing them. He kept running and ducked into an alley, quickly fiddling with the wires on his gloves, pulling some things out and stomping them on the ground. "Shh, just wait till he's gone." He said, watching the angel walk by and then circle back, not noticing the two hiding in the shadows. Finally, Ravi heard the sound of the angel taking off and giving up on its chase. "Sorry about your apartment..." He eventually said to her, letting out a sigh. "I didn't think they'd send him at this point..."

Valerie gazed solemnly at her now destroyed apartment, but if there was any time to return to Overwatch she guessed her calling was now. She didn't seem overly mad nor confused over what had happened - she merely brushed the debris off her clothing and turned to gaze at Ravi inquisitively. The only thing that caused any bother to her was the loss of Lúcio's music, but she was sure she could buy it again at some point. Everything she would need she would find at Overwatch... Easy.
"So, what now?" She asked Ravi, her blue eyes filled with amusement. She knew where she would go from here, but what about Ravi? Would he just continue to run from Vishkar? It as evident that resting was impossible - she wasn't sure if he would be safe anywhere.

Ravi watched the smoke curl through the night sky and heard the sirens. "At least somebody is going to put this one out..." He muttered before turning to look at Val. "Well, I guess I'll have to keep running. At this point I'm running out of continents Vishkar doesn't have people in. I've heard Africa isn't too bad this time of year." He said, attempting to make a joke before sighing. "What about you though? You don't have a home anymore, I at least didn't have one to begin with. What are you going to do Valerie?"

Valerie turned her gaze away, half-lidded as she studied the cobblestone beneath her feet. Finally, she looked up with a positive shimmer in her eyes and gave Ravi a gentle smile. Being honest wouldn't harm either of them - she didn't believe that Ravi was the type to spread news like wildfire and everyone already knew that Overwatch had returned by now. Finally, she spoke; "I'm going to return to Overwatch." She spoke with determination in her voice and did not need to reconsider her thoughts. "I know it'll be safe there." She paused for a moment, an idea forming in her mind as she gave Ravi a hard look. "Do you want to come with me?"

"Wait, you're Overwatch? Wow...never would have called that..." Ravi said, pacing in the alley. "I mean, technically I'm associated with a different group, but I didn't really choose to join them and they're also currently not a big fan of me." He stopped and sighed before turning back to her. "What the hell, I suppose I'll join. Now we just have to get out of the city and country without getting caught by an unstoppable murder machine, please tell me you have a plan for this?"

Valerie let out a nervous yet amused chuckle. "Yeah, I figured if you were here to kill me you would have done so already." She looked down at her prosthetic arm, flexing the fingers with silent amusement. She decided not to add how deep into the Overwatch community she used to be. Biting her lip, she silently admitted that she didn't have a plan - what were they going to do? Brushing back a strand of hair, she pursed her lips as her azure gaze flitted to the sky in thought. She wasn't able to call any members - they had severed contact a long time ago. She wondered if Lena was in the area, but doubted it very much; Lena was pretty enthusiastic about Overwatch and likely headed back as soon as the recall had been issued. There was also no chance of them hijacking a transport ship over to Gibraltar, or wherever they were based these days. Finally, she turned to Ravi with a bashful look. "Yeah, I have no idea." She admitted out loud. "Do you have anything in mind either?"

"Well, I do have one plan." He held out his hands and started to form some light between his gloves before quickly dropping it. "Wait...never mind, can't do that, not with Raphael here. The thing can probably track the production of hard light." He started to dig through his pockets. "I don't suppose that arm of yours came with a sizable insurance package too. It looks like we'll have to travel the old fashioned way, getting some plane tickets and flying like regular folk." He said, smirking at her and pulling out his pockets to show his current lack of funds.

Valerie looked disdainfully at the plume of smoke that was once her apartment. A fire engine had pulled up outside, attracting a small crowd and she sighed with frustration. Counting on her fingers she began to list her complications.
"Okay so," She began, "We have no money, no contact and no form of travel. Those I do know in Overwatch I can't contact now because one; they cut off contacts a long time ago and two," She stuck her thumb at her crumbling apartment. "Everything I own is, or was, in there." Running a hand through her hair in exasperation she felt herself getting very stressed very quickly - if they couldn't make contact with Overwatch, she would be practically homeless. How annoying.

"Well, we could always travel by hard light." Ravi suggested with a shrug. "We'd have to walk for a while, but once we're far enough away from the city, he probably won't be able to pick up the signature. It's not the best but it works, and it's a lot easier than trying to stow away in a plane." He peeked out of the alley to see if the angel was around. "We're good, come on, just try not to draw too much attention to yourself." He said, waving her over, taking off his gauntlets and tucking them away in a small bag he carried. "If you want though, we could at least scope the airport out, see if there's a cargo plane or something we can sneak aboard, then it's just a crap shoot where we wind up." Despite the situation, he was attempting to be surprisingly optimistic.

Valerie folded her arms, her unscathed arm lifted so she could drum her fingers against her cheek in thought. In honesty, she resented the idea of breaking the law just to reach Overwatch - she knew there had to be another way but all possibilities had been cut off. She had always been a worrisome person, but the idea of being stranded, homeless and out of money was certainly pushing her to the edge. Her blue-grey gaze became momentarily clouded but she let a sharp exhale escape her lips.
"We can just check it out, I guess." She looked a little apprehensive. "There's no harm in that."

"I promise, we won't commit any felonies, and if we do, I'll take all the blame." He said, walking backwards down the street and smiling at her. Eventually they made it to the air port and he found a spot in the fence they could get through. "Look at that, someone left a perfectly usable way in." He said, leaving out the part that he had made that hole when he had gotten off the cargo plane he'd taken here from his last country. "Just stay close to me and stay low, the cameras are mostly just for show." He said, smirking at her as he made his way across the air field, avoiding spot lights and heading towards a hanger.
