She smiled instantly at seeing him, even as she teared up a little. Here he was, alive and looking actually quite well. She was finally able to be with him again, after years of worry and being alone.

"Of course I am!" She laughed a little and wiped her eyes, composed again in the next moment. "As soon as I knew you were here, you thought I wouldn't come?" She came over to give him a tight hug.

Ian just stood aside and smiled as he watched the reunion, glad to have been able to find her, and bring the two back together. They came inside, closing the door behind them.

"You did all this yourself? This place is amazing!" Amanda peered around, up high, then down to him again. "And you! You're bigger then I remember, I think! You're so grown up now!" She shook her head, almost not believing. "I missed you so much, it's so good to see you again!"

Solomon wrapped his arms around her tightly when she leaned down to hug him, squeezing her close, "I-I just...We lost contact A-and we didn't know what happened to you...I'm so sorry..." He pulled away when she did and smiled up at her, "Dad helped me get everything situated, but I got all the tech working!" He sounded proud and glowed under her praise, he didn't think his mother would ever get the chance to see everything he'd accomplished, "there's ramps all the way up so I can get up there easier. I'll have to put together a place for you to sleep!" He tapped his chin, "there's room in the floor where I sleep I think..." He gasped as a thought hit him.

"Oh! Dad!" He grinned and wheeled himself back towards the sitting area of the room, waving for them to follow, "I got the doppler ready!" He pulled the heavy machine into his lap, "it took a bit of rigging, but it should run off the car's battery!" He held it out to him, blushing a bit at her words, "hehe, I dunno about that, I don't feel much bigger!" It was hard to when he was stuck sitting all day.

"I'm sure I can find a place in here to sleep and set up." She assured him. "I don't need that much space." It wasn't even a question on if she would stay, he needed her, and she didn't want to be separated like that from him again. She intended to stay. "Do you mind if I look around a little?" She asked, even if she was going to live here, right now it still felt like his space and she wanted to respect that. While the other two talked she circled around the room, looking at all the work he'd done.

Ian looked interested as he reached out for the offered machinary, turning it over in his hands. "If I bring the car around closer, want to help me rig it up?" He asked, eager smile of his own. "I always kinda worry about crossing wires and setting my engine on fire or something." He laughed, only half joking.

Solomon nodded and smiled at his mother, "there's plenty of space, I have some room up on one of the higher floors, there's only a few machines up there!" He spoke aside as he looked over the Doppler with Ian, "you could have that floor!" He wanted to make this her space to, especially if she was going to stay with him, "this is your home too, I'd like it to feel that way, Mom." He nodded when she asked yo look around, glancing back at Ian.

"yeah go bring the car around closer and I'll help!" He knew his dad worried about him being outside longer than he needed to, it was comforting.

He glanced back at his mom and smiled, "I bet Dad told you...I was doing fine on my own for a while but..." He glanced down with a sigh, "It's getting harder to get myself around...And..." He laughed softly, "...I'm just glad you're here." He looked up at her with furrowed brows, he could deny how afraid he'd be getting of being alone, of his own health getting worse, her presence was comforting for a lot of reasons.

Ian headed out to the car, leaving the other two alone to talk for the moment.

She looked at him seriously as he explained. "He didn't tell me everything. But he told me it would be better for you to not be out here alone." Ian had given her the basics, but their son was an adult, and she thought maybe Ian felt it wasn't his place to divulge too many details of his life until he was ready to share what he felt he needed.

"I'm glad I'm here too." She leaned over to kiss the top of his head, before ruffling up his hair a little. "Honestly, I'm ready to settle down in one place for a while anyway." She'd been on the road most of the last few years, it grew exhausting after a while, when every place was just as bad as the last had been, and no place was really safe for any of them.

Solomon nodded and looked to the side, "I hate admitting it...I really hate admitting it..." He looked back up at her with a half smile, chuckling softly, "but he's right...For a while it was fine, you know I've always been able to get in and out of bed and stuff by myself..." He ran a hand through his hair, looking put off by the admittance, "I could at least get out of this damn chair long enough to do things for myself...But...I can't anymore." He leaned back in his chair and glanced out the window, letting his guard down a bit more than he liked, "I don't know if I'm getting worse or...What...But Dad's right...I can't be here by myself anymore."

He smiled more when she leaned in to kiss him, looking up at her a little more brightly, "yeah...Still..." His face fell after a moment and he looked down, "I doubt babysitting me was your first choice in settling down..." He glanced up after a moment and jerked his head to the door, "bet Dad's got the car around, lets go try and rig up this weather radar." He turned to start heading for the door, eager to put his mind somewhere else.
